Hospitality First. Aloha Always.

Hawaiian Hospitality, Beautifully Planned

Hawaii Wedding Planner

As a Hawaii wedding planner offering full-service planning for local and destination weddings, I bring something especially close to my heart to every celebration: a true connection to the islands.

I was born and raised in Hawaii, my family is still there, and members of my team live there today. I return regularly to visit venues, connect with local vendors, and stay rooted in the place that first taught me what hospitality really means.

So whether you’re dreaming of an oceanfront ceremony, an intimate celebration on a private property, or a full wedding weekend surrounded by everyone you love, I’ll help you plan it with intention, ease, and plenty of aloha.

Destination Aloha

Planning a wedding in Hawaii should feel exciting, not overwhelming.

Through Destination Aloha, I offer the same thoughtful, highly organized planning experience glōweddings is known for, with the added local knowledge that comes from calling Hawaii home.

From sourcing venues and trusted local vendors to planning welcome parties, farewell brunches, transportation, hotel room blocks, and meaningful guest experiences, my team can manage the big picture and the smallest details.

Because a destination wedding isn’t just one beautiful day. It’s the entire experience your guests will remember.

Hawaii Wedding Planning With a Local Perspective

I was born and raised in Hawaii, but I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to live, work, and travel around the world.

That means I approach Hawaii weddings with both a local perspective and a broader point of view shaped by years of planning elevated events and experiencing exceptional hospitality in destinations far beyond the islands.

I understand the relaxed rhythm of Hawaii, the importance of family and aloha, and the respect that should be shown to the land, sea, culture, and people who call these islands home. I also understand that working with local venues and vendors can look a little different than it does on the mainland.

My job is to help bridge those worlds for you.

You get professional planning, thoughtful design, calm communication, and an experienced team behind the scenes, while your wedding still feels warm, personal, and completely at home in Hawaii.

“If you're looking for a planner, I'd highly recommend Sarona!”

Our wedding wouldn't have been nearly as spectacular, fun, and smooth as it was if we didn't have Sarona! She's extremely warm, thoughtful, organized, and creative. Her fun and caring personality sets her apart. I was very impressed with her ability to connect us to amazing vendors and how she managed all parties involved so well. I also greatly appreciated her attention to detail.”

About Sarona

A Hawaii Girl at Heart, Always

Aloha! I’m Sarona. I was born and raised in Hawaii, with a long family lineage of Native Hawaiian ancestry, and I worked in the hospitality industry there before eventually making my way to the continental U.S.

Hawaii shaped so much of who I am and how I approach weddings today. It taught me that hospitality is about more than making something beautiful. It’s about making people feel welcome, cared for, and comfortable. It’s about paying attention. It’s about family. And it’s about showing up with warmth, generosity, and respect.

Those values followed me everywhere.

Today, I bring years of professional wedding planning experience, a well-traveled perspective, and my island upbringing together to create wedding experiences that are polished without feeling stiff and beautifully executed without losing their sense of joy.

Basically, I’ll keep the details organized, the vendor team moving, the energy calm, and probably make sure you’ve eaten something along the way. Because your peace of mind is priceless.

My Favorite Wedding Venues in Hawaii

One of the best parts of planning a Hawaii wedding is finding a setting that feels completely right for you. From beachfront estates to iconic Waikiki hotels and private residences tucked away from the crowds, Hawaii offers an incredible range of wedding experiences. Here are a few places I especially love!

Waterfront Hawaii wedding ceremony

Loulu Palm, North Shore

Loulu Palm offers that dreamy combination couples often imagine when they picture getting married in Hawaii: lush green space, a direct view of the ocean, and beach access just steps from the ceremony.

The property can accommodate both larger celebrations on the lawn and more intimate gatherings on the porch of its historic Hawaiian plantation home. The home also offers a beautiful bridal suite overlooking the grounds and ocean.

Cocktail hour at Halekulani Hotel

Halekulani Hotel, Waikiki

Halekulani is an iconic Waikiki property with the service and setting to match. Couples can exchange vows overlooking the ocean with palm trees framing the ceremony or choose a garden setting surrounded by lush tropical landscaping.

The property also offers excellent dining, breezy reception spaces, and beautiful backdrops throughout the hotel for portraits.

Private Residences

Some of the most memorable Hawaii weddings happen in private homes. A private residence offers privacy, intimacy, and a setting that feels completely personal, but it also comes with additional planning considerations.

That’s where having an experienced planning team becomes especially valuable. We can help work through the logistics so the experience still feels effortless for you and your guests.

“Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe the work that Sarona and the Glo Team did for my wedding day!!”

“Sarona is incredibly kind and knowledgeable and does not panic under pressure. My wedding had a ton of moving parts and she handled every situation with a calm, problem solving attitude.
